Friday......Finishing up Lesson 12 and try to start Lesson 13

I will be picking the books up next Tuesday after class and grading them for the daily work and discussion for the last time for 1st quarter….make sure all makeup work is completed by then….

Friday.....Step #4 starting editing and final corrections....

Monday....Sharing journal writing.....

Tuesday...DOL....start learning the transition word jingle....start Ch. 4 Lesson 1....introduce pronouns...notes on subject-object-possessive....teach 8 parts of speech....

Wednesday...DOL...transition word jingle.....start the 4 pronoun jingles....if ready, C.P. #13 and do first half of exercises....

Thursday....DOL....work on jingles....do the 2nd half of exercises of C.P. #13.....

Friday....work on both jingles...quiz next week.....correct the homework....checking vocab cards to turn in next week for 1st qt. grade...

6S English

Monday.....No DOL…..journal writing in writing folders…..topic...Camp Lutherhaven….3 to 5 paragraphs…..

Tuesday.......DOL….hand back their Chapter 2 tests from last week and go over them with the class…..notes on the 6 traits of writing…...very important for the ISTEP writing tests

Wednesday....finishing up notes for the 6 traits of writing…..check the vocab cards for the 1st quarter today and turn in next Monday to grade for a daily grade…..

Thursday......Ch. 2 Lessons 8 and 9…..notes on purpose of writing...audience consideration….teach how to narrow a topic…..

Friday.....notes on a 3 point expository writing….teach a prewriting strategy
