Homework for Grades 6-8

January 12 to January 16th

Wow!  Can you believe two hour delays or no school for almost 1 entire week?  That has not happened since the 1980s if my memory serves me correctly.  That will definitely create some changes for this week.  This schedule of homework will be affected because the spelling bee scheduled for last Friday will probably now be held on Monday.  Chapel will be on Thursday this week instead of Wednesday. We have a guest speaker from Phil's friends. They help cancer patients and families. There will be slight changes to this so please check the planners each day…..thank you!!!!

Wednesday.....try to complete Lesson 29 if started yesterday

Thursday....no religion classes....Chapel and 6S has AR today.....

Friday.....finishing up Lesson 29 or starting Lesson 30

8R & S English

Monday....going back and starting Pattern 2 on direct objects...combining Chapter 8, and 12....Chapter 8 isPattern review......subordinating conjunction jingle and start working on subordinate clauses and nouns, adjectives, and adverbs...notes...finish vocab words for 3rd quarter by the end of January...#11 to #24. Correct the homework from Thursday....Spelling Bee will probably be today and then there would be no classes....

Tuesday....DO jingle and reviewing the sub. conjunction jingle....finish notes from yesterday...assign C.P. # 26 and do exercises 3-4-5-6.

Wednesday.....DO jingle....sub. conjunction jingle....correct C.P. #26 and assign a P2 sentence from C.P. #37

Thursday.....DO jingle....sub. conjunction jingle...correct homework......work on vocab words #14-15-16....

Friday.....DO jingle and sub conj. jingle.....assign C.P. #27 and do selected exercises....see planners....

Monday....DOL...assign Discovery Plates 2-3-4....correct the P2 sentence assigned if still needed

Tuesday…..DOL….DO jingle….sub. conj. jingle practice….finish notes as needed….assign Ch. 12 C.P. #37 and do exercise #1 do sentence #2 for question and answer flow….

Wednesday….DOL….review of our 2 jingles practice….correct the homework….assign C.P. #25 and do exercises 3-4-5….

Thursday….DOL….DO jingle and sub. conj. jingles review….correct the homework….start notes on subordinate clauses…..break down ADV clauses….ADJ clauses….NOUN clauses….give examples…...notes….

Friday….DOL…..finish notes if needed....talk about CX sentences....dependent and independent clauses....if ready assign C.P. #26 and do selected exercises....

6S English

Monday....DOL....notes on HV.....teach NOT as an adverb....notes on coordinating conjunctions.....finish up 3rd quarter vocab words started by January 31st if not yet done.......

Tuesday...DOL....practice the sub. conjunction jingle.....take notes on subordinate clauses as dependent clauses and adverb clauses.

Wednesday...DOL....review of the transition word jingle and the sub. conjunction jingle....finish up notes on subordinate clauses....assign C.P. #20 and do exercises 2 and 3 only.

Thursday...DOL...review of our 2 jingles.....correct C.P. #20 from yesterday....notes on Ref. Box #98....finish up vocab words if possible by Monday..... still more time if needed....

Friday....DOL....review of 2 jingles....assign C.P. #21 and do selected exercises....see planner
